Susanne has lived on Saturna Island since 1968. As a child she had endless opportunities to explore the wonderful natural spaces of this fabulous island. It was here that she met and married her husband 47 years, Ian and together they raised three beautiful children, lived, worked and played and ran a sheep farm for many years on the historical Payne family farm. This is an amazing island and home of a small community of 350 residents. Susanne was a long time Trustee representing and serving on the Board of Education - Gulf Islands. After serving on the Board for 22 years she retired in 2018.

Susanne has been the Resident Realtor for 16 years and in June 2020, she became Owner and Managing Broker of Gulfport Realty and now shares her time with Mayne Island and a team of 8 Realtors representing Buyers and Sellers on Mayne, Galiano and Pender
